My only complaint is the way that it just suddenly ends after a reprise of the opening riff. It's like the last few minutes keep building and building, that awesome keyboard line comes in, and then it goes back to the opening riff which would be a cool transition into a final climax but it just cuts

what's hilarious about it? Standard sci-fi bologna lyrics and w/e with fantastic instrumentation and songwriting.

Pretty much the riff at 6:08 and the subsequent vocals are..... more flowery than flower metal. Made me laugh because I haven't heard this in a while. Also various other parts are funny.

have you guys read the lyrics? the mood changes in music go perfectly with the flow of the story, that's why some parts sound much lighter, happier or even "funnier" than others

No one is disputing that there is lighter parts on the album or even whether they fit so idk why you're bringing that up. What is being said is that that riff is objectively funny sounding
