I couldn't agree with this statement any more if I tried.

Word. I hate how they've gone onto playing exclusively their new shit live. When I saw them in '09 the only "older" tune they played was Only For The Weak. Also lmao at the new album having a 4.2, that'll surely change.
Anyways love The Gallery, Mine Is The Grandeur... and ...Of Melancholy Burning is indeed an epic finish.

I saw them in October of 2009 and they played "Embody The Invisible" which was pretty cool.
Still listen to this on a regular basis, brilliant album.

This is great and all, and I enjoy this album, but I don't understand where the "death" in this "melodic death metal" tag comes from. It makes much more sense if you take it out.

I have no idea why everyone loves this album so much. It sounds terribly chaotic and unstructured to me.

Cause it's a melodeath classic.

Well cool, but the songs are kinda... not well written? At least that's the impression I got when I listened to it. It dragged on terribly. I won't rate it yet, more listens are due.

They just don't follow typical structuring. They're written fairly wonderfully.
Especially Lethe. That song rends my heart in two.
