Yeah that video is awesome. Saw these guys last October and it was probably the best show I've ever seen. When the lead singer of a band drinks beer from a horn onstage, you know something special is about to happen.

I'm being generous giving this a 4. I love Amon Amarth, but so many filler tracks IMO

Where? Where? I only found The Hero to be pretty lame, but the rest is all great. Varyags of Miklagaard and the 3 tracks with guest performances own very, very much.

Ya, i don't think Amon are into the whole "filler" thing at all.

Crysis, don't you live in NH or something. I think we went to the same show last October.

I know a kid who listens to a lot of shit bands like Hollywood Undead and Linkin Park and then he posted one of those top 5 things on facebook about "songs I can't stop listening to" and amidst two Hollywood Undead songs, a Lamb of God song, and a Sick Puppies song the title track off this album was there and I found it kinda funny.

Oh and Free Will Sacrifice and Guardians of Asgaard seem weaker to me than the rest of the album but Live For the Kill and Embrace of the Endless Ocean make up for them in sheer awesomeness.

Yeah I live in NH, the show was at the Palladium in Worcester, I think I remember you made a list with their set. It was a great show, was it not?

here is an apt review:

Embrace of the Endless Ocean is an epic, poetic tragedy touching on themes of redemption, loss, courage, love, adventure, heroism, and much more, with a shifting melody matching the emotions and driving home the force of the lyrics with absolutely enchanting and beautiful musicianship.

Some other songs about Vikings and stuff.

Something about thunder.

Got this on picture vinyl yesterday at my local record store, got number 125/2000. Since the artwork is so good it looks awesome on pic vinyl.
