Are you saying your rating would have been higher or lower if it weren't for Dead Memories?

Fair enough. It's a great song.

Good review. I think we've got enough positive Slipknot reviews here. Thank you.

(I'm kidding.)

Truthfully, I do not like this band, but if it's your thing, all the more power to you. Good luck in future endeavors.

Excellent review. I agree with it completely. Vol. 3 is still slipknot's strongest effort, but this comes very close. Slipknot's musicianship and song writing have dramatically improved since their iowa and S/T days.

Best songs are All Hope Is Gone, Gematria, Gehenna, Sulfur and I've got to admit Psychosocial is also really growing on me now too.

I checked this out at HMV the other day and pretty much skipped over each song after 30 seconds because they were so god damn boring. I gave it a chance and thats it.

Funny thing, I'm always about giving an album a fair chance (at least one full listen). I just didn't feel compelled with this simply because they sounded like they haven't progressed at all......well they do solo now hahahaha.

Check out Eminem - Marshall Mathers Lp if you haven't already, it totally rules. I just wonder what you'd make of it.

Hahahah where did that come from? I haven't listened to that in a long time. I will give it another listen for you.

Lol, I've been listening to it all night, first time in a while (like a long long while) and it still totally kicks my little ass. Other than that I'm not really sure where that came from, it's pretty unrelated tbh aha. But yeah, do check it out ;)

I used to like a little bit of hip-hop/rap (whatever category he falls into) when I was getting into music. Then I discovered metal!!!!

same, basically from being a little kid and listening to pop I delved into rap/hip-hop, then I got into indie and rock. Then along came metal and blew everything else I listened to away. There are a few essentials I've kept from back in those days though because of the amount of rule they have, and the effect they had on my increased diversity/current taste in music --> white stripes, eminem and the beatles for example.
