First off great review! I have been a long time listener of As I Lay Dying, been to one of their
shows. This remains my favorite CD of theirs, however, The Powerless Rise material utilizes the bands
full potential.....but I am always left unsatisfied. I think Shadows Are Security out shines the
band's other albums simply due its catchy, drumming is precise, vocals are solid, and most importantly
deep lyrics. This is and amazing album definitely worth owning, and I would say possibly even a hard
copy. I would like to know your guys' take on this record, and when I say that tell me what you think
of it besides the bands popularity and Christianity. I have noticed the comments getting off topic and
lets simply look at the music. So I ask you, wasn't this an EXCELLENT album?

I know, but Climactic I don't get why people hate the band for dumb reasons or think there other material is better. I mean besides personal preference of course...Get me?

and yeah this band isn't that bad... this album and an ocean between us have some cool songs but a lot of it bores me

Alrighty Climactic I agree with you but disagree slighlty. For instance if you take int their lyrics with the music you shouldn't get bored, but I guess I can see that argument....what are your fav songs and what did u rate this album?

this CD has grown so much on me that I can't give it a lower rating
call it generic or lame or whatever, the riffs are catchy and the music agressive
the best part is the drums, jordan kicks ass

This was the first album of this band that i listened to. This I thought was a pretty good album, nothing to new though from what other metalcore bands I have heard.
