This is album can be overwhelming in the beginning, especially if you're not familiar with Jazz Fusion. The band takes A LOT of time to set up the mood with some soft ambiences- Miles loves to do this. He loves to build up the suspense and, then BAM! the jam sparks up like wildfire. The thing is, is that you shouldnt think about it too hard. Just experience the sounds, let them reveal their "secrets" to you. This whole album is all about falling into its trance, and if you spend the whole time trying to figure it out, you completely miss out on the magic.
