I feel ya sean, it's a much different form than DSOTM but it has such a powerful place in modern culture that its almost necessary to read about it then go for it.

This is by far my favorite Pink Floyd and in my opinion its Pink Floyds best work. Never before has there been an album that made me not go to school for like a week just so I could listen to it over and over again. After memorizing all the lyrics, and watching the movie countless times, I can definetly say that this album is "life changing"...

I think it's an amazing piece of work in the genre and it's heavy as hell, too.
It took me 4 years to really realize the magnitude of it, so give it time.
