I think the main point here is that if Greg had done anything other than mimic Patton and Keith Buckley DEP would be a lot more fun to listen to. This is ep is the last fully original thing they've done.

I wasn't really comparing them, I was mostly just saying how Greg's range and tone limit what they are capable of doing and drives the direction of their sound to suit him.

All this negative talk on Greg and then the first post on Metal Sucks is Greg Puciato voted #1 modern metal frontman, ftw.

"About 4 or 5 years ago, I saw Dillinger in a little North Carolina shithole called The Brewery. While there, my friend was crowdsurfing, and Greg grabbed his leg and attempted to pull him towards the stage. My friend instinctively freaked out, and kicked him in the face. Hard. Not a second went by, he spat out some blood, and continued the song without missing a beat. What an unreal guy."

Oh and people would've bitched regardless of choice because the people on the internet don't know how to do anything other than bitch

Unless it was some really obvious and easy choice, in which case they would bent down and suck dick all day

now we are confusing the issue

Greg is an amazing performer, however not a highly original or ridiculously talented singer

I think greg's a good vocalist for TDEP and I dig their sound with him in the band

but if the question is whether they would have been better or at least more interesting with Patton as the full time vocalist then idk it's pretty hard to argue with yes

Patton isn't human, that's fact.

Some of the punchiest riffs ever right here.
