I 100% percent agree. Leviathan and Crack The Skye are my two favourite albums by Mastodon, Crack The skye being their best in my opinion. "The Last Baron" is proglicious.

"Hearts Alive" is my second favorite Mastodon track, behind "Megalodon".

I like Remission, too! It's either my second or third favorite, along with Crack the Skye. I liked The Hunter, but I understand why it gets the hate it does. I don't agree with it, but I understand it. Blood Mountain was my least favorite release by these guys.

Masterpiece of production? Hardly. The terrible production here is pretty much the reason I rated this a 4 and not a 4.5.

The guitar overpowers the drums, the bass is practically inaudible and the vocals, for the most part, sound like they're being sung into a trash can.

It's easily Mastodon's best songwriting material to date, but it's still practically unlistenable, which is simply tragic.
