Yeah, in most the magazines I got its in the top 10 of 2007.

Most of those magazines haven't been listening to DEP for 6 years.

Once again, I was just stating that they did, I didn't mean to offend you. I liked the album, ok? Nuff said.

This album is good, not just critically. Most of the DEP fans I talk to adore Ire Works.

Same here, sometimes I think that one popular sputniker doesn't like something then it causes a chain reaction.

This is quite obviously a step down from previous works.

It's still pretty good though.

Just a little tidbit: John Dillinger is gonna be portrayed on the big screen by Johnny Depp in the movie Public Enemies.

I'd like to review this because I feel that a 2 is quite unjustified for this record. With the exception of Black Bubble Gum, there are some stellar tracks here, especially the instrumentals.

That being said, check out this video of them playing BBG on Conan Obrien. Greg is all over the set. Pure Hilariousness

Is it just me, or does every shorter song sound suspiciously like Panasonic Youth?

this album gave me a headache...and i mean that in the worst way possible...Fix Your Face was good...Black Bubblegum? was that supposed to be this album's version of Unretrofied? if so...epic fail

Album has some great songs and a bunch of crap. Weakest effort yet but still good.

I really like the song Horse Hunter, it's probably my favorite on this album and I have no idea why.

I think the album is great. Too many people are comparing it to their older work. While Miss Machine is my favourite, I listen to Ire Works as an entirely separate album, which, oh my goodness, it is! DEP has the ability to change their style and incorporate influences from genres all across the board. So this album isn't as raw and all-around intense as Calculating Infinity (which I don't even particularly enjoy), but it's great none the less. And to top it off, it has excellent replay value.
