This is masterful. It's quickly becoming one of my favorite albums of all time. There's so many nuances that you don't pick up even the tenth time. If As the Roots Undo didn't exist, this would probably be my favorite emo album.

hypothetical basking shark is by far the best.

That's my least favorite song. My favorite is Life Was Real. Urgent. Important. The part that switches between the clean and distorted guitars is awesome in its aggressiveness and complexity.
