The production on this album kills it for me. It's shit.
Maybe if it was better I would listen to this more.

This is the only Nile album I can't get into. A couple of good riffs but that's it. The songwriting just seems uninspired and the production, yes, it's shit.

The Essential Salts and Laying Fire Upon Apep are pretty badass songs but.
Maybe they should remaster it like Meshuggah did with Nothing.

I don't get it. I just don't understand how the technicality fails. What's more technical than this? Brain drill? I guess. But

it's pointless. I just don't at all think you're right in denigrating them for their chops - they can straight up play. I think

you're mistaking bad production for bad playing.

Also, why have staff reviews where the reviewer hates the band? Doesn't really make sense to me. Not that every review

has to be a 5, but as someone who hates this band how can you claim to be objective?

This album is brutal as hell, with insane drumming and heavy bass riffs thast blow mind. Also the guitars are good with some nice solos. Although it has some problems of being repetative and boring in some places. The vocals are pretty good Btw...

It is 4/5 by me

Horrible review you only judge it on the title. I advise you to re-listen to it till you discover what good music is!

This battles their newest one for Nile's worst album honors. Still not bad though.

Yea, both pretty thin and trebly. The new one takes that to a new level (or low) though. But the vox are also really off for me on Sethu. Where are the deep grunts??.. Hope they return as main vox on future releases.
