No one ever made such drastic stylistic changes as these guys in metal core to their sound, their first 3 albums all have a pretty unique sound.
Never gonna bump down, own of metalcore's crowning achievements.

~entry level hyperbole~
but yeah their debut is kinda unique and it's their best. This is just like another modern metalcore album, except that it's not bad. Also can't see how Hollow Crown is something more than their last album, srsly only the vocals are different.
|
| |
Hollow Crown is more aggressive and has a lot more interesting guitar work and songwriting than their last

The cleans on HC are actually emotive and not just pigeon holed in like the new one.

Yeah, Mort, the album sounds great on good headphones or speakers. The guy who produced/engineered/mixed the album is John Mitchell of Arena and Frost*, two of the best neo-prog bands around. I'd say he knows what he's doing IMO
