I've been a huge fan of DT since I&W came out. When I first heard SC in 2007 I thought the band had reached their end regarding creativity, feeling and innovation as I was also quite disappointed by Octavarium and ToT. I was convinced their career was destined to end in insignificance. It caused me to lose interest in the more recent works of the band.



However, I came back to this album in 2013 and almost immediately fell in love with “Ministry of lost Souls” and “In the Presence of Enemies Pt. 1”. Absolutely amazing compositions! The album as a whole grew on me (except "Prophets of War" which I still can't bear). Not a bad album at all. Just had to share my opinion on this ;-)

Porcupine Tree kicks the crap out of Dream Theater.

In general yeah, they are much more consistent
