I agree that when i was 13 then hybrid theory and meteora were the S***. They are quite good still, but aren`t anything special from the musical point of view. But this, this is terrible. The songs sound uninspired, dull, bland and really really boring.

Their initial fanbase has grown up in between albums.
L.P/S.P finally get round to making another album, which they try to make more mature and ambitious.

Honestly, I liked Hybrid Theory, and I honestly thought Meteora was the next logical step, and an improvement on the sound they were building with HT. So they basically took something that, imo, was working and said "Oh, you like that? You like that sound? You see us getting better at it? OHHHH! fuck that sound, no more for you, here's something completely different that we don't really know how to do hahaha!"
Fuck Linkin Park.

the album's really not that bad, sure a few of the songs near the end are pretty shite, but I'd say the first half has some pretty decent songs. Nice to see everyone jumping onto the bandwagon and giving it a 1/5, when it clearly doesn't deserve it.
