Miracle Drug is abysmal and there’s a couple of other stinkers but there’s some belters.

damn where'd you hear that from? never read that but it does seem like the early sessions for this had that more transcendent U2 sound with stuff like Mercy, Country Mile and Blinding Lights before they got cold feet for some reason and phoned in an album of walmart rock instead
