I feel like Kerry Mccoy has always been looked on as one of the strongest links in this band

He contributed a couple of rig presets on Guitar Rig 7. Was disappointed when I tried it out. Felt very half-assed. Which sucks cause I love his gazey tone.

Kerry is a riff machine and always has been. He knows some cool creative shit too like playing with the whammy bar for that Kevin Shields gazey tone. Creates a really neat reverse reverb effect

new song rips, but it's weird that there's conversation abt them 'finally' achieving all thrillfer no filler. i feel like the greatness of prev entries is the fact that they *can* create such compelling music/carry mode for 10 minutes straight

that said, i feel like this album's identity will be its condensation of prev sounds and i mean they're pulling it off phenomenally so far so ya, AOTY.

I’m absolutely on-board with the upcoming album, both singles deliver the goods, but in different ways. Magnolia is pure rage in your face, but Heathen aims for the delicate balance between sentimentalism and frustration, and it succeeds (if I disregard those ridiculous first 12 seconds).

2/2 with the new singles. Loving the approach so far.

Love both of these singles but Heathen is absolutely incredible. Cannot wait for this album.

I’m shocked this album is scoring so high, this shit is bland. Gave it my first listen since it came out and man I’m so disappointed that the one time this band hit my city was touring for this and I’m actually glad I didn’t go.

New singles are better than literally everything here

Kerry is a riff-machine, but the best musician in the band is Daniel Tracy, imo. His drumming is brilliant.

Yeah the drumming is kinda sick. Even if this wasnt their best album the drumming stood out to me early when listening to this
