Daughters just announced ANOTHER Europe tour in October and they are going for some smaller towns as well...even my fucking home town. I'm crying...this literally made my day.

I've been listening to The Jesus Lizard (specifically 'Goat') and you can definitely hear where these guys might have taken some influence from... the difference is TJL retain the noise and energy typical of punk, whereas this is just dull. I understand that Daughters may have attempted to take a more atmospheric approach, but I don't think it works.

This Heat would be another obvious influence. Coil and Swans probably as well.

I can hear Swans in this too (mentioned this many pages ago now), although I'm not a fan of that particular band either. Not familiar with the others, in fact I don't even recognise 'This Heat' by name.

There's a lot of music out there OK. I just looked them up and given that they're from the late 70s/early 80s having an album with 300-odd ratings is actually quite plentiful for Sput. Hmm, I must be slacking over here...

They do have a very unmemorable name, so that could be something to do with it.
