This is Homme's sensitive singer-songwriter album, so makes sense. Era Vulgaris was the biggest departure of all though. In some ways, Lullabies is really their last album with the style they had been building for since their inception.

I had finally gotten interested in this band (AKA listening to more than just singles) about a year before this album came out and I wasn't sure what to expect when this was released. What a fucking delight this turned out to be.
