similar to the black album remaster, it essentially sounds exactly the same to me but also somehow wider/clearer in the headphones. pretty much exactly what you want from a remaster of an album that already sounds fine as is.

Metallica were ahead of everyone on Kill, Ride, Master, Justice, black and even this = GOAT

But they were behind on that Monster they created. It's the monster they didn't want to become.

Load is Metallica's answer to the upheaval to metal in the early 90's. I'm glad they got the black album out before the grunge explosion

I was just referencing a popular alternative song and their flop that was some kind of Monster. I never heard it much, but I did actually buy an EP that had two versions of that single and a bunch of live songs it was put out in stores for 6 USD back in the early 2000s. I liked those live songs even if I guess the live versions were too fast and loose and involved substances likely.

I like Load, I wish modern radio then or even later would have played it more than the Black Album. I am not really a metal fan, but Nothing Else Matters or Enter Sandman again, gets tiring. Heh.

This is better than their last 2 albums honestly. Should have a higher average

Haha I don't think those last 2 albums are anything special tbh aside from a few tracks here and there. But I like some songs. This absolutely kills 72 seasons imo. King nothing and until it sleeps alone

Wow, it took 30 years for people to appreciate Load/Reload?

I always enjoyed 90s Metallica more than tiring 80s or 00s subpar albums. Guess that make me a pioneer..

Memory Remains and Unforgiven Too go hard, the rest is so boring that it's painful.

Easily my least favorite of their studio albums

Fuel is a ripper, memory remains gets a pass because it has magic live, and I can easily live without the rest. Good riff here and there.

In my opinion Metallica should be allowed to swing which ever musical direction they wish so long as they can rip the pockets of their fans. This album is fine, even enjoyable on a good day when the nostalgia hits

It is. Starts strong, ends strong, is memorable as hell, not overdramatic in the slightest, and contains their best song (Until It Sleeps). I briefly posessed a copy and got rid of it for no reason.
