"ACDC >"
Lmao the band with three songs
|
| |
why the hostility? ACDC have plenty of angst and emotion, theyre the godfathers of indie if you think about it

Album Rating: 4.5
More like godfathers of donald duck imitation
|

Just relistened to this tonight and I think I'm doubling down on my stance that they should have swapped Stars are Projectors for Night on the Sun

i love ya kompys but stars is the centerpiece of the album
|
| |
Ya and Night would be a better centerpiece lol
Fantastic instrumental showcase from each member and the lyrics feel a lot less like a philosophy lecture

night on the sun isn't menacing enough although it is a great song
|
| |
This album does desperately need Stars, uneven as it is
Night doesn't have the same climactic energy afaicr

I'm pretty sure Stars is and always will be my #1
|
| |
Wild, stars is currenntly the weakest link for me and has been firmly bottom 5 since forever along with came as a rat and alone down there

Album Rating: 4.5
I hate the rat song. That's the worst.

Stars is monumental
|
| |
I'm not really sure why I like Rat more because it is absolutely a much worse song

I like all of these songs, and more.
Probably the best major label debut ever.

gonna punch you in your glasses
|

Rat, Cold Part and Lives forever the worst, also Gravity depending on how much anti-beanie energy I'm vibing
Alone Down There is a vaguely acceptable Pixies song, and absolutely no way is this the best major label debut. Band went sharply downhill here and never picked up again significantly

I'm convinced Johnny heard this record while someone urinated on love letters from his soulmate. Lives and Gravity are such great songs.
