Blown away by how well this works, love this incarnation of the band’s sound. Firing on all cylinders.

Panopticon, Oceanic and Celestial are better, agreed.

This is my favourite. I’d hesitate to say best, simply because this and Panopticon may as well be world’s apart stylistically - they satisfy different moods, I can just see myself preferring this more often.

Having said that I wouldn’t think twice about putting this ahead of Oceanic or Celestial, even though I enjoy both.

As much as I love the rawness of Celestial, I just can't see how it would surpass this album. This is the most vibrant and organic album of their career and people misjudge it because Panop and Oceanic were the 5est 5s ever

Artists aren't necessarily the best judges of their own work.

Aaron said he was having a shitty time recording this and ITAOT. I guess he can't dissociate that from the music.

Still, this is either third or second best Isis for me. Panopticon is always #1.

If they didn't get more experimental I don't think Turner ever consider it.

Isis discography is so good as is, I don't know what else they could add. Maybe an album with Jazzy vibes like Callistos Noir, that would be sweet
