There too many forced riffs and sections on this which really mess with the albums emotional delivery. Also another problem is many 'good' riffs that come through are lost through too many transitions, rather than capitalizing on awesome moments. What a waste. [2]

This hits me in all the right places, Gonzo.
The production is fantastic, the riffs are sweet as fuck without being too punchy, the vocals are arguably Mastodon's best and the overall songwriting is so cohesive yet p daring for a band who are considered to be a solely 'sludge metal' outfit.
