I just jammed it at the gym, it's awesome. Love the noise/doom influences taking prominence

It is commendable how you take in so many Neurosis albums at once Jr! I’ve been jamming this band since last Fall, but couldn’t digest more than one album per month on average. They’re so dense, I need time for them to sink in.

Yeah something about the noise/doom vibes on this is just impeccable and one of a kind. Top shelf stuff

Thanks gabba! I am currently on spring break from work/school so it is giving me a lot of free time to jam Neurosis nonstop. Kind of a perfect storm lol. I do agree with your point that the albums are dense though. I'm holding off on final ratings until I get some more jams in. Same with ISIS who I also finished their discog for the first time this week

Neurosis albums have tremendous depth. The calm sections have the deepest.

The mix of pure, unadulterated heavy sections that flow into the calm sections are perhaps a little trademark that they have mastered to a tee.

Absolutely. And this record achieved their best usage of dynamics imo. Even tho I do love TSIB a tad more, but mainly because it's just a tad more heavy/intense

No shame in being a metalhead. Metal and it's subgenres are a world of brilliant music. Thanks to this website I've discovered countless bands that I now love/like/adore.

This place has turned me into a metalhead. I went from enjoying the occasional metal album to listening to 90% metal lol
