Definitely has its cheesy moments but 'Countdown' was massive for me in 1992...might have been my most played that year.
I still think 'The Black Album' is slightly better and definitely that was an even bigger album for me the year before....but if you start comparing 'Load' and 'Youthanasia' there's only one winner and it's the album without 'Mama Said'...

Yeah, I always put off a lot of the "classic" metal bands for a long time. Finally got hard into Sabbath and Priest, although I still have to finish both of their discogs, and I finally did the whole Maiden discog, now I'm doing Megadeth. Feels good lol.

It is just so funny that you’ll know every brutal blackened death metal band recorded on a potato that has like 17 monthly listeners but never jammed Megadeth or did deep dives into Sabbath or Priest… like kus said it’s honestly shocking lol

I really don’t fuck with Anthrax man. I don’t know what it is but I just cannot get into them I’ve listened to the “classics” and nothing ever grabbed me
I really don’t see how they’re getting mentioned in the same breath as Metallica or Megadeth… and tbh Slayer really shouldn’t get that treatment either. They made some good records but nothing comparable to these guys or Metallica at their peak
