I just picked up the last Pale Horses deluxe edition vinyl they had at the show a couple nights ago, and it's fantastic. And then in a couple weeks (hopefully) the untitled box set will come in -- so much mwY vinyl listening coming my way!

I'd love to have that PH edition.

it's beautiful. Stoked to frame the poster in it -- they put a lot of care into their deluxe packages so I'm so fucking eager for the untitled one to come in. I put off listening to PH on my ride work today in favor of diving in tomorrow on my day off with the vinyl

also, just wanted to say that I read through this entire thread during my super slow time at work and this thread has been my absolute favorite on sputnik. I had so much fun talking about this record during its roll-out.

Cheers to that. We have a great, knowledgeable, and passionate mwY fanbase here and It always makes me even more excited when the band is doing things.

'not their strongest album but that's an amazing song'.
Lol I love how I never appreciate mwY albums upon the first listens. With Ten stories it was like: hmm yeah fox dream is great, february 1878 as well. Wait Bear dream is also amazing and I kinda like nine stories as well etc.

I asked her, "Do you ever have that recurring fantasy
Where you push little kids
From the tops of the ride?"
And she shook her head no
I said "oh, neither do I"

Ten Stories is a low-key 5. The slowest 5 ever for me, probably.

ten stories was more immediate for me
pale horses took the longest time to grow

Yeah EP is amazing. I would love to see mwY headline for once. Hope they will come to Europe again

I'm sure they will. I always wonder how much these guys have left in them and then they always deliver high quality LPS and tour hard. Still can't help thinking they will hang it up sooner than later.

Yeah I think so too. I remember they were really tired/demotivated after Pale Horses. But then they were making new music again, bought a new bus etc. However this is probably their last album. I can live with that though

idk I got vibes that they weren't planning on stopping at least in the immediate future. There was a tour bus video thing on youtube of them last month or so, and Aaron was talking about how he was excited to make alterations on his bunk in the future so his kids could play on the bus when they go out on tour with him.
Ricky said they were taking a for sure six month break though

I don't think mwY are going anywhere. they always treat each album/tour cycle like it could be their last. Hell they were planning on calling it quits after It's All Crazy, and they've made 3 perfect albums since then. I expect they'll take a tour break and we'll get a new album in 2021.

I wouldn't mind if this was their last album, to be honest. They've released enough awesome music (bar All Crazy and Ten Stories) for fans like myself to enjoy. It would be a bigger bummer if they started releasing mediocre albums after this one.
