The Dream Calls For Blood was pretty amazing.

'One of the most overrated thrash metal albums from this year. Flotsam and Jetsam and Death Angel's latest albums are much better. It seems that I can only trust in the old masters whenever I want GOOD thrash metal fun.'

Why do new users never have the mental capacity to back up a controversial claim?

Those two albums are way more conventional than this release. I can definitely see people liking the new Flotsam and Death Angel over this if they want their thrash to be a little bit more by-the-numbers. I like both styles though. I only wish the vocals were different.

You should be comparing this to Death and never really Metallica imo. Metallica wrote long songs but they were organized like normal tracks with repeated sections/choruses, whereas this is real prog.

you would have a point if any of the by-the-numbers releases were actually as excellent as they used to be from '83 to '93 but they're not

preferring the new flotsam or death angel over this is an edgelord opinion plain and simple, take it from someone who has like 200 thrash bands in his library and has heard all there is to hear

Yeah, it could be compared to Death somehow... But the first thing that came to mind without being biased was Rust in Peace.

The vocals here are totally sucky. It reminds me of Chuck Schuldiner in the Sound Of Perseverance. The horror.
