Ta John.

Regarding this album when I listened to it last night I did an audible “Fucking Hell” to Scentless Apprentice. That song is just out and out bombardment.

I often find that Dumb and Milk It are very overlooked. Shame - two amazing tracks.

Nothing hits harder than Scentless Apprentice.

Agreed Kalk, but it took me a while to come round to it - I was in the Nevermind camp for a while.

I was the same back in the day.

Nevermind really was a life changer. When this came out I was a bit perplexed, I liked it but Nevermind was just so unbelievably life shattering that it was impossible to better it.

A month later and the exact same thing happened with Pearl Jam and vs.

Ten was the life changer and vs on first listen was a bit flat.

Nearly 30yrs later and I would take In Utero over Nevermind, I’d take Ten over the lot.

Some days I believe this is the best rock album ever conceived.

In terms of having a statement of intent coming off the back of the soundtrack for a generation yeah it’s definitely up there.

I would still have the opening line of Serve the Servants as the greatest in rock.

It all comes down to the summary of my review: One of rock's ultimate middle fingers.

I don't know if it's the best album of all time but it's easily my favorite of all time.
