Hi everyone
We posted a lengthy update last November (time flies!) in which we promised some news about a full-length debut release by Tiny Skulls, a project from our own Gibran and Stuart, and our friend David Thomson.
Well, here's the news...
The album - Songs From Some Depressing Movie - will be released through our DIY label the imaginary kind in November, initially as a digital release.
This thing has been in works for a long time. I remember the guys starting recording before we even finished The Dark, Dark Bright, which means Gibs and Dobbie are in two of the slowest bands in the universe. It's been a real labour of love for the guys - and, frankly, sometimes something close to madness - but it has been worth the wait.
It was engineered and mixed by Marshall Craigmyle, who recorded everything that TWBF has released so far, and was recorded in Strathaven, London and San Francisco. Our pal Andy Miller - Mogwai, Life Without Buildings, De Rosa - mastered the album at his Gargleblast Studio in Hamilton.
We're really excited to share it. It's a really beautiful thing.
Keep your eyes peeled. In the meantime, here's a teaser.

the teaser they posted is very pretty, some lovely harmonies and sparse guitar and a spoken word sample
i'll probably check the full release just because it's associated with these guys
