i meant like when he said "And suckers be thinkin' that they can fake this" I was like aw shit this is gonna be insane, but then he went to rock rapping. which he pioneered. so he can rap in the rap-rock/rock-metal sense but not in a straight hip-hop sense that I expected when I first heard the album back to front. by the end i was impressed with the new sound the whole band created.



Tl;dr i was expecting more of a chuck D/Ice T style of rapping.

Take the Power back and Bullet in tha Head, on the front half of the same album, prove he can rap in the hip-hop sense, IMO. I won't go too hard on this argument, because you have it 5'd and ultimately its not a particularly dissenting opinion, but I have always felt that he should have been commended for his rap skill and the era in which he did it. I mean Cypress have always given him props, but thats about it.
