blackened, ajfa, one, to live is to die and dyers eve are up there with the very best metallica songs. no bass presence sucks but it doesnt take away from the masterful songwriting

Justice drags at times, mainly in the second half, but overall the more progressive direction was great. I like it about as much as this and Puppets.

"lol at ajfa not mattering

on that jimson weed hard jamie?"

I don't think it's a massive step down or anything, it just lacks that spark and the true thrash spirit of their first 3 albums and instead we get songs that are slightly more drawn out and a sound that is somewhat lifeless at times in comparison. I mean if ever I feel like jamming Metallica I'll just overlook it in favour of one of their first 3 so in that sense and considering how rarely I jam Metallica these days, it doesn't really matter.

That's why MoP rules, it is an awesome thrash album without really being exactly thrash

Given the sales of all subsequent albums and the anticipation for a new one I'd say a lot of people still take them very seriously.
