should I listen to The Lonesome Crowded West?
I like Good News but this one struggled to consistently hold my attention (although it does have some decent cuts, from memory). Then again Good News has the benefit of nostalgia, so idk what I really think of this band?

Yeah I'm getting the impression (from here) that differing opinions between the two says there's a chance I might.

I think my favorite description of TLCW ever was this one from Doof: “Six plus minute long songs about doomed white trash chokin' in the dust bowl and howlin' at the Lord.”
If that appeals to you, give it a go.

theres a lot of cool extra sounds/nuance on this record bc isaac was just layering tons of sounds on the record.
stars are projectors good example also ''Alone down there'' with the creepy laughs added and the just odd vibe on that song, it's a creepy track ''hey how do you do, my name is you" and the aforementioned laughs that were added
also the cold part, too well the whole record
