Alcest aren’t post rock though. They’re primarily a shoegaze band at heart. But they really standout and make themselves difficult to classify at many points, especially the final track.

Somehow this discussion doesn't really reflect the magic of the music.

You're more than welcome to contribute and share what this music means to you / what this magic is that you wish to hear people talk about! ;)

Bro, I have tried to open a conversation about nature spirits and soul journeys many times. Now I'm waiting for someone else to go, otherwise it becomes too weird.

The infinite universes theory never really made intuitive sense for me.
Maybe when getting to the beyond, we will look back upon this life and wish we had had more talks about the nature of elemental entities. Because this is the only time and place with sputnikmusic.
It will be lost like fairy dust without a will to make the moment eternal with the right words.

Popping up in the afterlife just surrounded and confused by spirits a la Paracelsus, but you can't really complain, because on Earth people were trying to show you. But you wasted mortal life writing about sitting down to poop.
It's no wonder some souls deliberately want to go to hell to get that washed off.

@Egarran Well, ok then haha. I don't frequent the site/thread that often so I probably missed that.
The magic of things is often a delicate and very personal subject, more so than a universal one, so people often aren't prone to open up or share things of that nature I guess, which kind of makes sense.

Love me some theological/philosophical discussions with Egarran (not sarcasm)

No. I have skimmed, but it's on the ever growing to-read list. I have become a lousy reader. Tell me about why it's (not) good.

The best book with elemental spirits is probably Little, Big by John Crowley. Esp because one of the protagonists are quick to mention that it's usually a very woo woo subject.

Where does the title track (I consider it one song) rank on people's all-time list?
It's realistically one of the top 10 best songs I've ever heard
