I personally listen to AIFF if I listen to lossless, which, like WAV is uncompressed.
From what I recall, FLAC is compressed lossless audio but still retains the lossless quality of the original recording so I actually have no idea what that means for the file other than it's slightly smaller than WAV or AIFF

"90% of conventional high end gear is designed for jazz, light rock, pop."
Yeah makes sense. I'm still in an apartment so I don't have a lot of fine control on how I can shape the room I listen in, so I've decided to wait a few years until I'm looking to settle down in a home to really get serious about my set up. Good points though, worth keeping in mind.

Honestly, I don't know myself. I could be using something sub-optimal but it definitely sounds far fuller than the 320s on my iTunes.

Listening to a good sound system after months of music through headphones or desktop/flatscreen speakers is an almost religious experience.

So many good people in this thread, really glad to see psychoacoustic enthuasiasts. This album legacy is really creepy, i am pretty sure most of you (especially old school death metal fans) were in to schock after first jerky riff in opening. Have you seen how does Luc play it? Damn, he is really crazy with those tappings.

Jamming as we speak, think it's time to 5 this one too.
These guys and Death just have untouchable discogs when it comes to dm for me. So many great bands, but those 2 are clearly at the top imo.

Luc is a class act. Never seen someone so genuinely happy to be playing for people who really loved his work. So glad I got to see him live even if it was just last year.

Yeah Luc is pretty much the coolest dude on the planet even if he crushed every metacarpal in my hand to dust when I shook his hand
