I can see why. Garbage ass company. I feel awful for the people that paid a thousand bucks for Taylor Swift not even because I think her music is boring but A THOUSAND BUCKS is a lot to be spending on any show. I feel like I could somehow worm my way into wrestlemania nosebleeds for less money.

"This is like Meshuggah and Bastille attempted to have a baby and then decide on abortion, only for the abortion to fail, and then the baby grows up to be Young Thug"
I didn't even catch this comment earlier, but it's probably the best description I've seen of this album

Ticketmaster can go fuck themselves, scummy company and I try to avoid them as much as possible.
Very true, and I know they're scummy for more reason than just obnoxious fees, but even not going through Ticketmaster or Livenation the 35$ ticket I just bought to see The Dear Hunter and Delta Sleep in DC still came with an 8$ fee, and it's fucking will call only? It honestly just feels like because this industry is what it is, because live music and having that opportunity that you may never get again to see an artist that means so much to you, it will always be an extremely exploited industry.
Just feels like the worst of capitalism, if something's value is whatever people are willing to pay for it, this shit is always gonna be beyond predatory and I hate it. If it were literally anything else I would vote with my wallet and support none of it, but like everyone else, if it's between getting fucked in the ass and not seeing the bands I love, I'm always gonna be getting fucked.

Service fees are typically implemented to make up for whatever agreement was made to make tickets exclusive to a specific vendor, service or even venue. Higher service fees usually mean the kickback is not baked into the ticket price itself.
Ticketmaster / Livenation are shit and best to be avoided, but you’re never going to find tickets without service fees anymore when buying online. “Will Call” service fees would indicate that the venue(s) are getting kickback from it as well, it’s not all going to the ticket-selling service.
That’s why I’ve started trying to buy tickets through venues directly whenever possible.

For example Shape, would it make any difference to you if that ticket was $39 + $4 service fee? It’s less egregious because at face value you think that service fee money is only going to the ticket service. But depending on the artist/venue contracts, the money split agreement would be the same in both scenarios.

damn, that makes it sound like you are a tate stan
I'm sorry

Oof
|
| |
The only reason I'm not giving this a shit rating is because I gave up after 2 tracks... On the upside any music felt more appealing after so there's that at least
|
| |
Something being so bad you couldn’t even make it through 3 tracks is the epitome of a 1/5 tho
