I never got the hype for pornography, I listened to it late in life and it sounded very childish to me

Faith sounds authentically bleak to me, but Porno pushed the doomcloud out so far that the whole thing smacks of make-believe (and Robert Smith can be as sad as he likes, but he's too precious to be edgy)

Porno (by the Cure) is good. I actually think the starter and ender well. I prefer the middle of the album. The ending is just so dark and disturbing. The first song is just a beat into death. My favorites are siamese twins, strange day and figurehead, hanging garden.

Ya mean DDD? Still gave it a 4. I could be extremely counter culture and be like oh only a 3.5 but no of course not this album rules. As does Head on the Door and the new one. OH the writer, well 4.5 is still good, I just can't remember every review.
