Hot take: On My Teeth is one of the worse songs on here, also album fucking rules.
Steak thoughts on Amo?

I like Wake Me and Rapture the most. "On My Teeth" sounds like a watered down version of their old stuff.

Amo is better than TTS but I still don't like it. Nihilist Blues and In the Dark are very good, and the closing track is alright, but the rest are either forgettable filler tracks or downright bad. All of the vocal effects get grating, and the instrumental work sounds uninspired and boring to me. I dare not comment on any of the threads in fear of being subscribed to another Benecidal thread

Spec are you trolling? Picking the 2 most hated songs on here? FWIW I love Rapture, Wake Me will forever be the worst thing on here.
That's fair Steak, tbf I think Beni has only posted a couple of times (thank the lord), there are definitely a fair few flops on the record, I hate heavy metal and mother tongue, and couldn't care less for Fresh Bruises or Ouch. I might drop the rating back down as it kind starts to fall apart after the run of the first 5 songs, which I dig a lot.

I don't even think this is that far of a cry from They're Only Chasing Safety at this point. Then again both this and TOCS have wore off on me a little.

I'm gonna have to stop you right there Deathbat. TOCS is the easiest of easy 5's you can ever hope to give, this just scrapes 4.5 (and I'm pretty much the biggest lover of this on this site, at least until Proto joined), there may aswell be an ocean between them

I mean sure I had TOCS at a 4.5 on my first few listens, but Spencer and Aaron both started becoming a bit grating upon repeated listens on that one. Spencer with his attempts to emulate Dallas and Aaron with his signature grating whine that came with everything after The Changing of Times and only simmered around LITSOS.

I would like to point out my bias. I didn’t really like the sound of the album but I liked most of the lyrics (recovering addict myself).
Then I saw them live and Spencer was the biggest asshole of a frontman I’ve ever seen (not funny jerk like Rody Walker). After experiencing that all the lyrics seem completely fake to me so the album is useless to me now.

The sold out crowd wasn’t loud enough for him so in between each song he would rant “this is why we don’t play in Canada”
It was actually infuriating.

As a Canadian, that made me lol. He's quite a character

Jeez and I thought Aaron was the bigger asshole on that band now. These guys have seriously become so bitter.
