it was a super bare bones remington model 11, and you cannot blow your own head off with it lying down. now maybe he asked someone to help, thats a fine explanation. though trying to lift that gun up in the way he did would have been impossible sober let alone with enough morphine to kill 3 people found in his system. you'd have to hold the barrel with your hand I urge you to try and lift a 4 foot long pole under you neck with one arm with all 8 pounds of weight at the opposite end, then reach out with with one finger and try to manage the recoil of a 20 gauge shotgun. looking at the burn marks on his hand he likely had the gun pointed at him by his friend and regretted it and tried to push it away at the last second.

1 coroner reported they thought he was sitting in a chair, in order for the ballistics to make sense many professionals who have looked at the case since said it would be virtually impossible to have the entry and exist wound while sitting down. the reason being is he would have had to have caught the shotgun in midair after having already killed himself which the autoload nature as well as the recoil would not have allowed for. it is a welcomed fact in the community of ballistics experts who have studied the case that he was in fact lying down

There was no forced entry, nothing stolen, nothing disturbed in the property, nothing forensically implicating any unknown third party. So hypothetically if it’s not Kurt it’s either a disgruntled dealer, a friend assisting or an unknown.

I dont believe the notion that he was murdered by Courtney love merely that he asked someone to help him kill himself. the ballistics are still way off. someone had to pick up the shell and put it on the wrong side of his body and put all of his drug paraphernalia back into its box and somehow no finger prints, including his own, were found. seems to me like a classic case of assisted suicide where he got antsy at the last moment tried holding the barrel in defense and it was too late. someone had to have set the gun and shell down for him there is no other explanation
