>Everything rules to somebody
Yeah, I always try to remember a 7/10 can be life-changing for somebody. Much of Tesseract's output is objectively around there, yet it's precisely what I love to hear (really heavy but always melodically motivated).

A LOAD OF SHIT.
Nah this is better than the last 2 albums they did forsure

the best here is definitely better. the worst on the last two are just dull and forgettable, the worst here is actively terrible.

The Outlaw Torn is incredible. Just as good as their classic stuff in my eyes. King Nothing and Mama Said are other big highlights here too.

I still listen to reload and st. anger just because those were my first two metallicas and there’s some sentimentality there. They both became pretty lackluster to me as soon as I heard kill em all the first time though

damn lucky you still got into em if reload was your intro haha

I’ll give credit to Reload and KMFDM’s Attak as part of the foundation that helped me get into heavier music (even though both bands have way better albums.)

my parents bought me an ipod nano when i was like 8 and i begged them to put metallica on it after hearing "one" in gh3 so they put half of justice on it. t/t, eye, one, shortest straw, and fucking dyers eve for some reason. the other songs "weren't appropriate for me"
from there i stole from my dad/brother's cd collection and had all the classic metallica albums and pantera albums on there. like exclusively just those two bands.
load was the first cd i bought with my own money

lol i had gotten into metallica just before GH3 came out. i hadn't heard "one" yet, so i checked the first minute or so. i was pissed off as a 4th grader that they were using some lame gay soft ballad instead of one of their heavy songs, bc i didnt even bother to check the second half of the song. i was in for a big shock when i played it for the first time in GH3, failed the very nanosecond the solo started. great time.
i was HUGE into GH and at the time everyone thought "master of puppets" would make it into the game, "one" was kinda a curveball.

speaking of GH and Load, i used to make custom GH charts that people could download. i did one for "the outlaw torn", and someone uploaded a video of them playing it to youtube. i was maybe in the 8th grade? it was my first call to fame! kinda, lol.
