Also I'm kind of getting tired of the word meme, it's starting to be used for every running joke ever

"If you're unfortunate enough to care about any possible objectivity I guess you're right there bucko"

You were the one using popularity to show that the song is good. That is the closest to a literal definition of objectivity you can get to(since there is no such thing as objectivity, it's basically just what you and other music nerds perceive as correct)

"bucko"

No Ars that isn't what it actually meant, I personally debunked it in a Life of Pablo thread that is now long forgotten

This album was super popular when it first came out so it's not just "music nerds"

Wait why am I arguing with ALA, he thought Remain in Light was a 2.5 at one point

I once sent a link of the song Mayonaise to my friends and asked them if mayo is an instrument. The consensus was an almost unanimous yes

"This album was super popular when it first came out so it's not just "music nerds""

Well who actively cherishes the album besides Music nerds, critics, and old people like doof? That wasn't me making fun of you actually, it was a genuine point. People's love of justin beiber isn't objective because a vocal minority thinks it knows better than teenagers(which isn't far off) but it's all opinions in the end of the day.

I don't know. I really love Cherub, Quiet, Today, Disarm, Geek, and Spaceboy. But that's it. And even Today has some problems. That's less than 50% of the album.

"Wait why am I arguing with ALA, he thought Remain in Light was a 2.5 at one point"

And you 5 ween albums, your point? I grew to cherish Remain in Light, I grew to like this less. 2 isn't a bad score on my scale, it's just below average(worse than mediocre). Don't know why you're attacking based on a first listen, everyone gets to like albums more overtime. It's all about learning your likes and dislikes and I personally grew to love remain in light as I got used to it.

Doof is in his 30s, not his 70s lol if that's old to you than lol. Also age has nothing to do with quality of taste honestly

"I don't know. I really love Cherub, Quiet, Today, Disarm, Geek, and Spaceboy. But that's it. And even Today has some problems. That's less than 50% of the album."

Then just 2.5 it already

You liked the Ween albums you heard, stop pretending you didn't to look cool, it doesn't make you look cool

"2 isn't a bad score on my scale, "

2 literally means "poor" which is a synonym for bad.

I can't

Ars, 2.5 is 50% of 5. Why would I give something a 50% if less than 50% is enjoyable?

If Doof played his cards right he could literally be a grandpa right now just so you know.

Didn't suck when it came out, doesn't suck now. Besides the older folks.. I imagine more than half the people with high ratings for this are younger than me, doof, zak, or Titan. Now that I'm familiar with the age demographic here it seems like younger people like it just as much or even more.

"You liked the Ween albums you heard, stop pretending you didn't to look cool, it doesn't make you look cool"

You missed my point. People make fun of you for liking Ween. Ween is awesome. You tried to make my point less relevant by bringing up my first listen of an album as if it was a citation to an F graded test. You have no right to use poorly received music opinions against people, half this damn website makes fun of you for your taste.

""2 isn't a bad score on my scale, "

And those would be the vocal minority of young people. Which is what I said.

Na, i'm not 2ing this because i haven't listened to it in like a month. Maybe it will "grow on me".
