The clean guitar after the distortion fades out halfway through Part II absolutely chills me to my spine

It's interesting that you guys praise the production on this (I like it too btw, it really fits the mood), because Neige thinks the production on this was bad, haha. But I think he believes it has a nice rawness because of that so it's not big deal at all

edit: lol i thought this was kodama's page and i said it was one of my favourite production jobs
the production job on this is pretty good - perhaps a bit too upfront at times with the guitar, the clean guitar sounds gorgeous though.

“The clean guitar after the distortion fades out halfway through Part II absolutely chills me to my spine” Right on. The distorted variations of that riff which follow, chill my spine even more though, especially the first one, with the falsetto leading in.

Yep, whole section is one of my favourite guitar motifs of all time. All the clean parts in the t/t tho, man that might be the best clean tone I've ever heard, sounds like it's being played down a freaking well.

I think I need some help here...cause I'm listening lately to Mono, Together to the Stars, Alcest and Astronoid and completely having hard time in discerning what is good or bad by now lolol and some times it looks like listening the same crescendo stuff over and over. lolol tell me please its all very different and special and not that different at all...but special anyways lolol

I think what you're experiencing right now is the biggest criticism people can have about Post-Rock. I only really listen to Alcest from that genre, so I can't help you ^^ Alcest have good songwriting though, I don't think anything by them is "really" generic

Yeah, feel that way (''it all sounds like the same stuff'') too. It's hard to deny the certain magic spark that is present in Alcest though. That extra dreamy quality or something.

yap...I'm on this one now...and almost considering the bump...they have the cleans, and they scream too (and brilliantly btw) this set of part1 and part2 are fuckin amazing. they do the crescendo and the beauty, but also rock m/ somehow
