calc is a lot more progressive and a lot less metalcore-y, plus i think dmitiri's vocals suit the band more. Not that i dont like Greg.

Yeah, Calculating was an overall progressive feel, and i love it, for some reason miss machine just seems to stick more when i hear. They are both great for sure though.

Yeah can't see 5'ing this, chinese whispers drags it down too much and farewell/widower/gold teeth blow the other songs out of the water

You guys are crazy. Chinese whispers, endless endings, and wouldn't if you didn't are the best songs.

Their records suck compared to their live presence. Really, I don't want to listen to the albums anymore but I'm definitely seeing them live again the next time they're around.

i only just heard about the shit on the stage incident at reading 2002, probably the funniest thing i've ever read about a gig.

basically at reading and leeds festival in 2002, Dillinger were first on the main stage on the sunday. Greg says to the crowd something on the lines of "your gonna see a load of shit on this stage today so whats the problem with a little more" and takes a shit on the stage and there was a close up of his asshole on the big screen.

Think I'll bump this down to 4

It's too inconsistent for me, first half is really fucking good, with Farewell and Gold Teeth, and the second starts off strong with Widower, but from there on no song can keep it up, some sections are meh

I can see them someday growing on me though, so idk maybe i'll just leave the score as it is.

Oh and to the discussion about best albums:

CI(4.5) = OP(4.5) > MM(4) >>> IW(3, though 'Fix Your Face' is one of the best DEP songs ever)
