This is what Götterdämmerung is all about!
I think monheim is a suicidal piece... i picture people listening to this before they run amok at school. It is this mind-altering that the album desperately needs to have a age-rating. It is too much for some to bear, the nice old fellow getting stuck in his memories from a past that seemed like paradise... suddenly feeling that time mustve passed by and death is just coming up while an inferno of crescendo-wars just battle each other in the extravaganza-war of the apocalypse featuring the violin-orks from hell.
I also hugely enjoy how the beginning gets up to its crescendo at 12 mins and the guitar comes in like a monster... especially how it gets introduce by this drummer that has the feeling of a shamanic trance-banger! then there is this moment when all is quiet after the french-speaking girls, suddenly out of the silence the bang... so many good times on this!
Saw them four times by now. Very great band live!
