sigh. it had a great run, but this album has finally grown off of me. on my last listen only like half the tracks still really did anything for me (though the ones that did still hit pretty hard, such as Bocuma, Roygbiv, Rue the Whirl, THS, Smokes, etc). Geo and the rest still holding up however

This and Geo are pretty much tied for my favorite Boards. Both are masterpieces and I love how different they are from one another.

but what's up suds, is it not majestic anymore or you're not high enough to enjoy this as you should

nahh its still pretty fuckin majestic, probably just need to listen again in my ideal setting this summer - at dusk and grilling out

truthfully though i've always liked the bigger picture and the spirit of this album more than the individual tracks, unlike Geo which I can play almost endlessly

yea but the short tracks in Geo only have so much to be engaging where these are expanded and have

much more to offer

i dont think so, some of the longer tracks here are still fairly repetitive, which isnt a bad thing itself but just because a track is longer doesnt always mean it offers more than the shorter tracks. yes these tracks have a more hypnotic quality to them but I love Geo's variety and how it changes almost grotesquely from one track to the next

wow i think the complete opposite. this has better standout tracks but geogaddi is better consumed as a whole album.

interesting, i can never listen to any of this without hearing it front to back. not with geo though. i mean i always listen to it front to back cuz thats what i do with albums but i have no problems with splitting it into thirds if i ever feel the need to, for whatever reason

this is more surface level than geogaddi i think, and thats why i think it still works as individual

tracks. i mean im with demi, i usually always listen to all BoC as album form, but geo just works

better as a whole for me. there are so many layers to the sounds and noises that you hear and the

short tracks on that album are essential to the album as a whole (in fact, i like the short tracks on

geo better than the long ones), and it just ends up making geo an album that just doesnt really have

the power it does as a whole when you chop it up

this is definitely the better 'album' if you ask me. it has a very singular yet completely engrossing atmosphere that's carried throughout. geogaddi comes across as very scatterbrained to me. it works well as an album, but the shorter tracks interrupt the overall flow at times (great as they may be)

this has just as many short tracks that 'interrupt the flow'

geo is superior conceptually, cohesively, and musically
