Don't listen to the haters. This is a fantastic album with vintage deftones sound. To me, it's not flat and boring at all. Chino sounds just as good as on the rest of their albums and you can really hear the maturity and growth of the band throughout. If this album is anything, it's a combination of everything deftones does best. Hard hitting heaviness and shiny engulfing melodies. Best of both worlds.

It definitely sounds like vintage Deftones. My problem with it is that it never intensifies to the point of getting my adrenaline pumping, and it never sprawls out melodically for it to be catchy or memorable. It's just kind of middling; feels like Diamond Eyes b-sides from start to finish.

It's just...boring. It sounds like Deftones just fine. It's exactly like Sowing said, nothing here gets the adrenaline pumping. Even the heavier songs like Doomed User sound flat and boring.
Ala, I'd say still check this out sometime. It has some great songs like Hearts/Wires.
I have to bump this down.
