Inflated perception of ones own self-importance perhaps?

Normally I'd join in mocking the idea of "protest ratings", but I'm pretty sure at one point I 1'ed a few Mars Volta albums I hadn't even heard out of annoyance that I couldn't 1 their first album so idk if I can claim moral high ground here

Judging by the first 3 songs, the new APC album is gonna be massive.

I hope it has at least 16 songs.

If the new APC is anything like their other albums it'll be 3-4 god-tier tracks and a whole lot of meh filler

It's all disappointing compared to this. That is the curse of APC.
Somehow Tool avoids the well known Maynard nausea phenomenon.

I don't get how anyone can even compare APC to Tool. Maynard may be in both, but both bands are comprised of different musicians with wildly different aesthetics. There isn't a single APC song that remotely tries to sound like Tool. They're apples and perfectly circular oranges.
