Another post showing how great this band is.
You could rank all of their albums and I wouldn’t say any of them are wrong. They’re all fuckin incredible in their own way. Calculating was a game changer and even 20 years on it still is. Ire Works has poppy elements, Miss Machine is the happy medium of the two imo.
Option Paralysis is the spiritual successor to Calculating and Miss Machine, and it’s incredible for it. Then you have One of Us is The Killer, their most mainstream record by far and it’s still better than 90% of modern rock.
And then you have Dissociation. What a discography this band had. 6 insanely great albums and a kick ass EP with Mike fucking Patton. God damn I love this band.

He's also the same guy who gave Crack the Skye and From Mars to Sirius a 2, and had those as their albums' flagged reviews for a long time. lol

underrated album that got hate for no reason
my fav DEP record.

^ Mine too.
IIRC, it got hate because of the electronic/glitch elements (brought in through necessity due to Ben Weinman injuring something on his arm/hand) and a slight dialing up of the "pop" elements, but if a fan truly understands anything about the band, it's that genre bending and envelope pushing is the actual point.
Album is a masterpiece.

It's so damn good. If someone doesn't like it then fine, but this album is a banger
I like the interludes and the catchiness of the songs

Ire Works is TDEP’s most experimental, and one of the most important metalcore albums of all time, in my opinion. Massively underrated and ahead of its time.
