Honestly I appreciate this album more and more as time goes by. I’m getting older, bones are starting to hurt, but it reminds me of a way more simpler time. I know I’m young as fuck compared to a lot of you guys but still, that feeling is still there.



Aside from Afterlife tho everything ranges from good to fucking horrible. And A Little Piece of Heaven is somehow a mix of the two. There has never been a song I love and hate as much as that track.

Almost Easy is fine even if it’s a pretty basic track. I know I’m not the first to say this but Lost would work so much better without that fucking autotune. Scream is okay. Everything else is just so all over the place.

The lyrics for Scream irked me a lot unfortunately. Also the video for Afterlife cut out all the good parts which is all most people heard from the album before they decided that they hated it. That was a BIG mistake.

I compare lyrics like that to something like a horror movie. Of course Matt isn’t a serial killer or someone that’s into necrophilia. The vocals are telling a story. Most of the writers and filmmakers of shit like that aren’t perverted like the lyrics to those tracks.

It is pretty tasteless to say you’d use a heater to warm up a dead bodies thighs. Ugh I hate that song so much but I love the Rev’s vocals.

Again very tasteless, but like I said, we’ve had dozens of horror movies do worse shit over the past 60 years, a song doing that is still for some reason taboo.

Like I love Gorguts, but I’m not gonna pretend that all of the Luc Lemay shit is totally serious all of the time. Most of it is all in good fun. We just don’t like the top 40 bullshit every local station plays. It’s just not what the mainstream likes.
