Yea, it's not bad. I just don't see the connection to Pink Floyd... other than they both make music.

I don't see it it as Syd "failing". He embraced what he wanted to do, and lived a life of peace and happiness. Sure he did a lot of drugs, but they were catalyst to achieving his Nirvana.

If anything Waters is a better example of someone failing to cope. He fucking tried to dismantle Floyd, spit on his fans, and self proclaims himself as better than everyone else. Syd fled from fame to avoid things like that, Waters just let it corrupt him. So I'd say Syd coped with his situation a lot better

^^^ Waters has made amends for that though. It's just plain wrong to say he's the sole reason that Floyd split up, he's adopted a less selfish attitude in recent years and he's made up with his fans and with Gilmour/Mason.

It's a romantic way of thinking about what happened with Syd, and I am sure it true to an extent.

But judging from what I've read about his behavior towards the end and onwards, it doesn't sound like someone who was at peace and consciously decided to fade into obscurity.

He literally went crazy. And maybe "going crazy", or going through an extremely trying time mentally is just part of the process of reaching "Nirvana" or ultimate enlightenment, because going to that place is not anything like most people associate with their normal, cultured environment.

I don't think so dude. Comparing Pink Floyd to hip-hop is kind of ridiculous. Nothing wrong with liking both, but saying that MF Grimm is a good recommendation for those who like Pink Floyd is just silly. I know you can't be serious... this has to be some kind of advertisement ploy or trolling.
