Lunacy is the only song from this that I would go back and listen to. It's too much drone and too dull

I'd love to hear her cover any swans song tbh. Would be poppy and probably awful.

Like I get that it's fairly basic but the lyrics and chants are chilling and get me pumped up to listen to 2 hours of swans every single time

the lyrics and chanting of 'lunacy' over and over again for 15 minutes is exactly what i hate about it...

it legitimately makes me feel.... LUNY

in a bad bad way

don't know how to feel about this album. one moment i think it's 4.5/5 material, then it's just a chore to get through.

It's weird that people hate Lunacy and like the rest of this album. Lunacy isn't by any means my favorite, but it's a very fitting opener.

This is their only album that I feel this way about. It's one of their greatest at one moment, very underwhelming at another.

I only listen to this like 3 times a year so it preserves its effect. I can't imagine listening to this frequently without it becoming a chore. And honestly, who has that kind of time?

Right. Plus, the vinyl tracklisting has a far better flow to it than the original. I always felt The Seer and Returns should end the album instead of being the mid-point. The Apostate was a poor choice for a closer imo.

Changing the track list like that makes me feel like the flow is almost accidental though, and that's lame.
